Where are we now?
September 11 triggered a domino effect in our economy with subsequent
collapses and bankruptcies of Enron, WordCom, Andersen, Kmart and United
Airlines. Our national propensity for microwave ovens, drive-through windows,
high speed internet and quarterly earnings perpetuated pursuit of the fast
buck. The weakened economy exposed the excessive corporate greed previously
perpetuated and concealed by expansion. Our stock market and retirement funds
have paid the price.
What's next
for the US economy? Let's look at where we've been.

Our
history has taken us from...

•
|
the
agrarian age (working with our hands) |
|
•
|
through the industrial revolution (working with our hands and
heads) |
|
•
|
to the information age (working with our heads) |

Will
the pendulum of greed swing the other way?
